Program Driver for Business Park Sustainability

This program focuses on making business parks future-proof.

• The goal is to support entrepreneurs in collectively making their sites and operations more sustainable, thereby saving energy and reducing CO₂ emissions.
• The program strengthens collaboration and the degree of organization in business parks as a basis for sustainability.
• From this collaboration, work is done on challenges such as energy consumption, sustainable energy generation, grid congestion, climate adaptation, and circular economy.
• The assignment is carried out under the leadership and supervision of a manager.

What You Will Do.

• Collaborate with various municipalities, local entrepreneurs, and other stakeholders to strengthen the organizational capacity and make selected business parks more sustainable.
• Bring parties together and ensure an appropriate collaboration structure for joint sustainability initiatives.
• Build relationships with entrepreneurs, entrepreneurial collectives, and municipalities.
• Explore which sustainability challenges are most appropriate to address and provide support in setting priorities.
• Guide the process to achieve a suitable organizational form and help set it up and strengthen it further.
• Guide and advise the (to be formed) partnerships in inventorying opportunities, wishes, and priorities for joint sustainability projects (e.g., energy consumption, energy-saving measures, generation/storage possibilities, sustainable mobility issues).
• Establish contact with the relevant colleagues at the municipalities and/or the client organization regarding measures for climate adaptation, waste management, or greening.
• Investigate interest in an energy hub in relation to grid congestion and connect entrepreneurs, the municipality, and relevant provincial colleagues.
• Support the drafting of initial (concept) project plans for the most important sustainability challenges.
• Assist in developing an action plan with goals, stakeholders, necessary resources, planning, and phasing.
• Explore financing possibilities (subsidies, funds) and establish connections with relevant partners and initiatives.
• Participate in progress meetings and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Report on efforts and contribute to knowledge sharing within the network of drivers.
• The goal is a sustainable partnership in the business park, with a secured organization and a concrete plan for joint sustainability.

Deliverables.

• At least one (concept) action plan per selected business park for the desired organizational form for the desired sustainability challenge, developed in collaboration with the involved municipalities and representatives of entrepreneurial associations in the business parks.
• At least one (concept) project plan per selected business park for prioritized sustainability challenges, developed in collaboration with the involved municipalities and representatives of entrepreneurial associations in the business parks.
• Semi-annual submission of progress data via a specific monitoring format, including achieved results.
