A government organization has, through the Environmental Management Act (Wet milieubeheer), the (perpetual) responsibility, both organizational and financial, for the aftercare following the closure of landfills. This project concerns the aftercare of closed landfills.
What you will do. The client fulfills a public administrative role in which area development, accessibility, nature, and regional economy are viewed in conjunction. The organization combines legal tasks with investments and programs for, among other things, space, infrastructure, nature, energy, and economy. Democratic decision-making takes place via Provincial States and Executive Council, with an administrative organization that ensures substantive preparation and practical implementation.
Supervision of co-governments and safeguarding public interests also belong to this administrative position. Collaboration is essential, as regional challenges almost always affect multiple governments, market parties, and social organizations. Within this organization, this means that employees must constantly switch between substantive quality, practical implementation, and collaboration with the environment.
You will contribute to the implementation and safeguarding of the organizational and financial aftercare of closed landfills, within the framework of the Environmental Management Act.

- Minimum HBO/WO thinking and working level obtained through a completed HBO education in the field of Technology
- Demonstrable experience as an advisor for landfills (Environmental Management Act)
- In possession of a valid VCA certificate or willing to obtain it on own initiative before the start of the assignment
- Agreement to submit a Certificate of Conduct (VOG)

- Relevant knowledge and demonstrable work experience in the field of landfills
