Occupational Health Physician Assistant

North BrabantHybrid28 hours/week<3months

When people are guided with attention to their employability, an organization flourishes. As an occupational health physician assistant (POB), you play an important role in this. You contribute to a sustainable workplace for employees from various backgrounds and in different sectors. You have a professional perspective that truly makes a difference.

What you will do. As a POB, you help employees and employers in a practical yet personal way with absence guidance and prevention. You switch quickly, communicate clearly, and work within the professional frameworks determined by the occupational health physician. You are an important link: you are close to the employees and are often their first point of contact. You maintain an overview, identify what is needed, and ensure that employees take the right steps.

With your clear guidance, you ensure that the absence process remains manageable. Furthermore, you will be involved in:

  • Daily guidance of employees in their absence trajectory, as a delegated task of the occupational health physician
  • Conducting, for example, initial contact discussions after a sick report, or follow-up discussions, preventive consultations, and three-way discussions with employee and employer
  • Contacting the employer, conducting a company visit or workplace visit
  • Holding a Sustainable Employability Consultation
  • Requesting medical data from a therapist or practitioner
  • Creating a clear step-by-step plan for reintegration within the agreed frameworks of the work protocol
  • Providing input for a problem analysis, absence advice, and absence analysis

Profile

You can communicate clearly, work carefully, and are collaborative. You know how to make information understandable, put people at ease, and maintain an overview in situations where many things are often at play. You work independently but regularly consult with the occupational health physician and other colleagues. Furthermore, you act proactively: you pick up signals that can hinder the absence guidance process but also see opportunities.
