Occupational Expert

North BrabantHybrid38 hours/week<3months

At an absenteeism management organization, you don't just write reports. You go to the client's workplace, bring employer and employee together for discussions, and actively advance absenteeism processes.

What you do

  • You are deployed early in the absenteeism process when questions, uncertainties, or bottlenecks arise.
  • You work closely with a reintegration officer, who is the fixed point of contact for the client and engages you for your occupational expertise.
  • Together, you help employers and employees create movement and take appropriate next steps.
  • You visit clients in the transport and logistics sector and conduct on-site discussions with both employer and employee.
  • By observing the work environment and speaking with both parties, you gain a complete picture of the situation.
  • You discuss interests, identify opportunities and bottlenecks, and translate these into concrete, achievable advice.
  • Your role is therefore much broader than conducting formal occupational assessments; you act as a discussion leader, advisor, mediator, signaler, process accelerator, and occupational expert.
  • You help prevent stagnation and restart reintegration.
  • Personal on-site contact is important, but remote discussions are also possible.
  • You follow developments in your field, absenteeism, working conditions, and relevant laws and regulations, sharing insights with clients and colleagues.

What they ask for.

  • An experienced, enthusiastic, and independent occupational expert who can easily switch between different roles and interests.
  • A completed post-HBO education as an occupational expert.
  • Preferably registered with the Stichting Register Arbeidsdeskundigen (SRA) and/or SKO.
  • At least three years of relevant work experience as an occupational expert.
  • Affinity with the transport and logistics sector.
  • You manage expectations well and handle diverse interests carefully.
  • You communicate clearly and involve others in your considerations and advice.
  • A practical, independent, and solution-oriented work style.
  • Willingness to visit clients in various regions; travel is an important part of the role.
