Ambulant Orthoptist (Optometrist)

- Make a difference for adults with multiple disabilities who are visually impaired or blind.
- Conduct visual function examinations at care institutions.
What you will do.
- Investigate visual impairments and possibilities of clients.
- Provide advice to clients, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
- Map a wide range of visual functions.
- Collaborate interdisciplinarily with behavioral experts and ambulant supervisors.
- Keep up-to-date with developments in your field.
- Actively contribute to quality and expertise improvement, for example by participating in professional and expert groups.
Profile
- Passionate Orthoptist/Optometrist with an interest in both the human and technical aspects of the profession.
- Good with people and eager to put knowledge into practice.
- Affinity with the target group of people with multiple disabilities.
- Creative and resourceful to succeed in examinations, patient and positive.
- Always considers the client's perception and possibilities.
- Builds a relationship of trust with clients.
- Willing to undergo extensive training if little experience with this target group.

- HBO diploma in Orthoptics or Optometry.
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience as an Orthoptist/Optometrist.
- Extensive professional knowledge, actively maintained (e.g., by attending conferences).
- Sharp analytical skills to collaborate with colleagues during treatment processes.
- Excellent social and communication skills.
- Driving license and car.
