Personal supervisor

As a personal supervisor, you provide structure, guidance, and proximity to clients with an intellectual disability.

  • You help clients maintain as much self-direction as possible and focus on what is achievable.
  • You guide, coordinate, and build a trusting relationship with clients, family, and colleagues.
  • You are a familiar face for clients and their network, supporting them with housing, daily guidance, social contacts, and personal development.
  • You draw up support plans, monitor goals, and tailor guidance to the client's wishes and needs.
  • You work closely with family, relatives, and other healthcare professionals.

Profile

  • A completed MBO-4 or HBO degree in care or welfare, such as MMZ, SPW, Social Work, Pedagogy, or Nursing.
  • Experience in care for the disabled, youth care, elderly care, or mental health care (GGZ) is a plus, but your motivation is at least as important.
  • You are committed, patient, and have strong communication skills.
  • You can work independently and collaborate well with colleagues and relatives.
  • You gain energy from guiding and supporting people in their daily lives.

Practical aspects.

  • You will work at small-scale residential locations of a healthcare organization, in the middle of the neighborhood.
  • Each residence houses clients with similar support needs, ensuring that guidance is well-matched to the target group.
  • The organization will assess which target group, residence, and working method best suit your experience, qualities, and wishes.
