BI Analyst

You will play an essential role in improving information provision within a specific directorate of a government organization. This directorate ensures that individuals arrive at the right place at the right time, where reliable information is crucial.

What you will do.

• You will make administrative management information transparent by developing and managing reports and dashboards.
• Part of this work will be done within a data warehouse, where information about detainees, cell capacity, security, personnel, and finances comes together.
• Another part of your work will involve temporary solutions, such as Powerquery in Excel, due to a transition phase between different source systems and the development towards central tooling.
• From the Business Intelligence and Data Analytics department, you will support the directorate in their reporting needs, maintaining close ties with the data warehouse team, data analysts, and data stewards.
• You will have extensive contact with the directorate's business analyst to align well with their needs.
• You will align with existing ideas and open tasks from the business and translate them, together with users, into user-friendly products.
• You will develop and implement reports and dashboards.
• You are responsible for the management and bug fixing of a portion of the dashboards.
• You are the fixed point of contact from the data warehouse team to the directorate for data loading and perform quality checks on it.
• You identify data quality problems and other issues that arise with direct colleagues such as a data steward and the business analyst.
