For a long-term assignment within a complex, critical, and secure IT environment, a VMware / VCF Systems Engineer is sought.
What you do
- Administer and maintain operational readiness of a large-scale VMware infrastructure (over 4,000 virtual machines).
- Handle incidents, service requests, and changes.
- Perform production deployments, installations, and corrections across various environments.
- Ensure MCO (Operational Condition Maintenance) of VMware and hardware components (BIOS, firmwares).
- Ensure MCS (Security Condition Maintenance) with vulnerability analysis and remediation.
- Participate in capacity planning, design, and implementation of new virtualization infrastructures.
- Participate in DRP/BCP (Disaster Recovery Plan / Business Continuity Plan) exercises.
- Draft installation and operating procedures.
- On-call duties are to be expected.
Profile
- At least 8 years of experience in the production and administration of complex, critical, and/or secure information systems.
- Confirmed expertise in VMware.
- Significant and operational experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
- Autonomous in large-scale production environments.
- Fluent English.
