As an educational assistant, you offer children with unique support needs the opportunity to flourish. You create a safe, stimulating learning environment where every child is seen and experiences success. Together with your colleagues, you support students in developing independence, social skills, and future prospects. In this role, you work as a substitute, replacing teachers for shorter or longer periods, under the supervision of a qualified colleague.
What you will do.
- You will substitute in various groups with students in learning routes 1 to 5.
- You will independently provide lessons for a defined part of the educational program.
- You will work according to the principles of EIM/BOL and LACCS (or be willing to learn them).
- You will collaborate closely with the class team, practical instructors, and other colleagues within the school.
Profile
- A completed HBO education or an Associate Degree.
- Visible enjoyment in working with students for whom learning is not self-evident.
- A strong degree of resilience, allowing you to keep a cool head when the day doesn't go as planned.
- A flexible attitude, allowing you to easily switch between levels, learning styles, and emotions.
- You enjoy working with your colleagues: stronger together to bring out the best in students.
- You ensure a pleasant learning environment: personal and involved to allow students to grow at their own pace.
