Ecosystem Business Developer
As an Ecosystem Business Development Manager, you stimulate and strengthen the ecosystem of an innovation area by activating and actively connecting (new) parties. You encourage strategic connections between parties within this area and with the regional innovation ecosystem (focus on a major city).
In addition, you provide the substantive basis for the further development of the ecosystem: you create and maintain a clear overview of relevant parties and their contribution in terms of knowledge, networks, and facilities, identify opportunities and supply-demand, and translate these into concrete collaborations, initiatives, and facilities that add value.
What you do
- Maintain relationships, gather signals, and actively connect supply and demand within the ecosystem through discussions and meet-ups with parties.
- Establish and maintain relationships with businesses, established and potential educational and research organizations, aimed at gathering insights into needs and opportunities.
- Develop and apply supporting instruments, such as a scorecard for lead assessment in collaboration with the Business Development Manager Companies.
- Develop and apply supporting instruments, such as a standardized factsheet for internal use and partners.
- Drive innovation projects and supporting services between parties, for example, through networking events and an internal platform.
- Contribute to the development of the innovation agenda and joint acquisition strategy.
- Develop and update supporting instruments, such as a menu of field labs, workshops, and facilities.
- Actively involve educational organizations from the city and region in the ecosystem in collaboration with the Education Business Development Manager.
- Actively establish connections and facilitate sustainable collaborations between education, research, and business.
- Contribute to the human capital and innovation agenda of the ecosystem.

- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in business development, account management, or ecosystem development, or within education, human capital, or public-private partnerships.
- Demonstrable experience with public-private partnerships and innovation environments.
- Affinity with ports, manufacturing industry, technology, and innovation.
- Affinity with innovation, technology, and regional development.

- Demonstrable experience with educational development, internships, LLO (Lifelong Learning), or labor market programming.
