The Faculty of Arts of a public educational institution is looking for a practice assistant in history (Ancien Régime) for the history program on campus. The Faculty of Arts provides education in bachelor's degrees in language and literature and history, with a transfer option to applied linguistics and political science. The campus is known for its qualitative small scale and strong student guidance. You will find yourself in a pleasant working environment on a green campus.
What you will do.
- You will provide educational support in the history program, particularly for the Historical workshops. You will guide students in research tasks and develop exercise and teaching materials for these subjects.
- You will contribute to the daily operations of the program and the faculty, for example, by participating in the organization of starter days, information days, or study trips and taking part in information activities for prospective students.
- You will play an active role in curricular and extracurricular initiatives at the program, faculty, and/or campus level.
- You will support the sub-faculty in developing a field component and integrating AI into the curriculum.
Profile
- You have a master's degree in history, preferably with a specialization in medieval or modern history, obtained with excellent study results.
- You interact smoothly and empathetically with students and colleagues and enjoy working in a team.
- You have a very good command of Dutch and possess strong writing skills.
- You work independently and have demonstrable organizational skills. You can also set priorities well and adapt your planning according to changing circumstances.
- You are willing to actively participate in interdisciplinary initiatives and activities within the Faculty of Arts and on campus.
- You demonstrate a strong commitment to quality education and the cultural and social development of students.
