A government organization is looking for a junior safety expert to strengthen its team. You will provide practical support in the field of occupational health and safety (ARBO), safety, and environment, and will be responsible for conducting risk inventories and evaluations. You will report, advise, and support colleagues and the head of the Safety and Environment section. Willingness to follow further training is required.
What you will do.
- Provide practical support regarding ARBO and environmental aspects.
- Advise and support in drafting plans, reports, and records.
- Inform, advise, and answer questions from employees, management, and the works council about legal obligations, policy and regulations, applicable standards and requirements, and various ARBO and environment-related issues.
- Contribute to the development, organization, and implementation of a plan for information and instruction on ARBO and environmental risks.
- Organize and support information sessions on occupational risks, professional risks, etc.
- Perform preventive tasks.
- Represent the organization in consultation forums and working groups, including associated working groups.
- Periodically coordinate and carry out risk inventories and evaluations (RI&E), including making proposals and supporting/drafting action plans.
- Support the investigator in incidents, assess reported (near) incidents and unsafe situations, and investigate incidents if there is cause to do so.
- Coordinate occupational health and safety and environmental care.
- In collaboration with a specialized expertise center, make proposals regarding workplaces and the approach to activities.
- Implement and make proposals for improving the safety and environmental management system.
What they ask
- Successfully completed intermediate safety engineering (MVK) or intermediate environmental engineering (MMK) education.
- Experience with (semi-)government is a plus.
- Good interpersonal skills and a flexible attitude.
- Analytical ability.
- Ability to work independently, even under pressure.
- Very good command of Dutch, both spoken and written.
Practical
- A security screening is part of the hiring procedure.
- Possession of a Dutch identity document is required.
