This role involves a residential facility for 26 elderly individuals with a (mild) intellectual disability. The facility is evolving and building a strong, committed team that provides quality elderly care within disability care. You bring calm, direction, and new energy, not from behind a desk, but in the midst of residents' and colleagues' lives.
What you will do.
- Coordinate daily guidance and light care (ADL, verbal instruction, medication)
- Translate the support plan into practice, ensuring the team understands, applies, and promotes this working method
- Methodically guide residents, including through experience-oriented care, and support them in suitable daily activities
- Coach colleagues on the work floor, stimulate reflection, and strengthen methodical work
- Identify opportunities, take initiative, and actively contribute to future-oriented elderly care
- Combine visible and close presence with maintaining an overview, to ensure contact is maintained without losing sight of the bigger picture
Profile
- A completed care education at MBO-4 or HBO level (MMZ, SPH, Social Work, etc.)
- Experience with the target group of elderly individuals with mild intellectual disabilities (LVB) in disability care or elderly care
- Coaching skills and the ability to work methodically and transfer this approach
- Helicopter view and decisiveness, clearly identifying what is needed and articulating it
- Affinity with community building, fostering connection between people inside and outside the facility
- Willingness to work day, evening, and night shifts
