Auditor
As an auditor, you investigate complex processes that directly impact safety and justice. You advise management on risks and improvements, thereby contributing to an organization that works daily towards a safe and just society.
As an auditor, you independently conduct investigations and advisory assignments into the business operations and operational processes within a government organization. You identify risks and control measures, coordinate your findings with stakeholders, and translate your analyses into clear reports and concrete recommendations for management. In doing so, you are not only an investigator but also an advisor and connector.
This government organization is constantly evolving. It deals with complex laws and regulations, capacity and personnel issues, and changes in how work is organized. Digitization, automation, and the use of AI also place new demands on the reliability and continuity of processes. You independently examine these developments, identify risks, and help the organization further strengthen its internal control.
A concrete example is an investigation into data exchange concerning leave decisions for detainees. Errors or delays in this information chain can have consequences for both public safety and the rights of a detainee. For example, you investigate how data links function in practice, how authorizations are set up, and whether information between judicial systems and chain partners is exchanged reliably and timely.
Subsequently, you translate your analysis into concrete recommendations with which management can further improve information and process control. In your investigations, you will come into contact with various organizational units and levels within the organization. In addition to analytical sharpness, this requires organizational sensitivity and persuasiveness. You know how to recognize different interests, discuss findings, and at the same time maintain your independent position as an auditor.
