Press Officer

An executive organization is looking for an experienced press officer to support the national spokespersons. The candidate is a skilled communicator and accustomed to working under pressure in a complex, politically sensitive, and dynamic environment. The goal is to alleviate the workload of the spokespersons due to significant media attention.

What you will do.

• Preparation of communication lines: collecting, testing, validating, and transforming substantive information into draft answers.
• Drafting Q&As and statements.
• Registration of press inquiries and answers in the press system.
• Quickly and carefully retrieve, verify, and structure information from the organization so that press inquiries can be answered accurately and consistently.
• Work closely with national and regional spokespersons, media analysts, webcare colleagues, other communication colleagues, and content experts.

Responsibilities.

• Receiving and coordinating responses to media inquiries.
• Actively gathering relevant input within the organization and from stakeholders.
• Checking, interpreting, and structuring information for communication.
• Drafting initial concept answers, Q&As, and communication lines, and coordinating them.
• Ensuring consistent and factual accuracy in communication.
• Identifying opportunities and risks in the media and coordinating with senior spokespersons.
• Contributing to the weekly media report, in collaboration with the media analyst.
