Information Manager Information Governance Specialist
In an increasingly digital world, the amount of data is growing exponentially. This data, both available for processes and produced by the organization, must be organized and stored in a structured manner to remain usable information. A public organization has placed Information-Driven Work at the center of its strategy. Following the implementation of M365, there is a need to address the setup of information management, given the proliferation of unstructured data.
What you do
You will execute a consulting and implementation assignment in the field of Microsoft 365 governance and information management. The goal is to gain sustainable control over the digital work environment, based on proven best practices and standards. You work independently and focus on concrete improvements and project results. You support the analysis, advice, design, and implementation of information management policies within SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive. The focus is on:
- Retention and archiving policy
- A logical and manageable information and folder structure
- Authorization and access management
- The use of metadata
You determine the method of analysis, advice, and implementation yourself. The goal is to prevent proliferation, improve findability and manageability, comply with laws and regulations, and limit risks. You transfer knowledge to the internal management team.
Assignment results.
- Analysis document of current SharePoint/Teams/OneDrive setup including risk inventory
- Supported and realistic retention policy in accordance with internal policy, archive legislation, and the selection list (Microsoft Purview retention labels/policies)
- Advice and implementation of an organizational structure (sites, libraries, folders) and mandatory metadata (content types, columns)
- Setup of, for example, sensitivity labels for classification and DLP policy to prevent data leaks
- Advice on governance (site creation policy, lifecycle management of Teams/sites)
- Policy document with guidelines for end-users
- Knowledge transfer/training to the management team
What they ask
- Minimum of 5 years demonstrable work experience with functional management and/or information management within a Microsoft 365 environment
- Demonstrable work experience with setting up or reorganizing information management within SharePoint Online, Teams
- Demonstrable knowledge of archive legislation, retention policy, governance, and information management within a digital work environment
- Demonstrable work experience with Microsoft Purview, including retention labels, retention policy, and information classification
Preferences.
- Demonstrable work experience with designing and implementing governance, information architecture, metadata, access management, and lifecycle management within Microsoft 365
- Demonstrable work experience with setting up Microsoft Purview, retention policy, sensitivity labels, classification, DLP policy, and other measures to support information security and compliance
- Demonstrable work experience with implementing information management measures within user organizations, including creating support and guiding change
- Demonstrable work experience with training, coaching, and guiding management teams and end-users, including drafting guidelines, work instructions
- Demonstrable work experience with information management, archiving, or Microsoft 365 governance within a government organization, safety region, or similar public organization
- A demonstrable certification such as MS-102, SC-400
- Demonstrable work experience with end-user adoption
