Project Leader

GroningenHybrid28 hours/week>12months

Together with a project director and fellow project leaders, you are responsible for the integral implementation of a multi-year program focused on the consequences of earthquakes. In consultation with municipal colleagues and a national coordinator, you initiate and organize sub-projects and guide the relevant project groups.

What you do

  • First point of contact for the development of a project.
  • Accountable within the set frameworks to the project director (regarding planning, budget, risks, information, and quality).
  • Taking into account policy, spatial, financial, legal, fiscal, and administrative matters, from the perspective of quality, transparency, compliance, control, and organizational theory.
  • Drawing up reports and advice.
  • Responsible for a sound (European) tender, award, and execution of work (where applicable).
  • Ensuring realization, taking into account the consequences of agreements, the program of requirements and wishes, laws and regulations, and the public nature of housing or public space design.

Profile

  • You are able to work in a project or area team within the program.
  • You will collaborate extensively with (policy) employees in the line departments.
  • You build a strong and proactive collaboration with the project leaders of a national coordinator.
  • You initiate and organize sub-projects and guide project groups.
  • You are decisive and possess great perseverance.
  • You feel involved in the issues of gas extraction and can empathize with residents.
  • Flexible and decisive work attitude where collaboration is seen as an opportunity to achieve results.
  • Willingness to attend meetings regularly in the evenings.

What they ask

  • Completed HBO (higher professional education) degree.
  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrable relevant work experience as a project leader (within a government organization).

Preferences.

  • Experience working in a complex force field between administration and the bureaucratic organization.
  • Knowledge of process and environmental management.
  • Possessing administrative and environmental sensitivity.
