Environmental Act Rule Analyst (DSO)

In this role, you translate legal rules from the Environmental Plan into clear and applicable rules within the Digital Environmental System Act (DSO). You are the connecting link between policy, legal affairs, implementation, and ICT. Additionally, you contribute to the quality, feasibility, and further development of the Environmental Plan and its associated processes. You represent the organization in collaborations and consultations with other government organizations.

What you do

  • Translates legal rules from the Environmental Plan into clear and applicable rules within the Digital Environmental System Act (DSO)
  • Analyzes rules
  • Identifies bottlenecks
  • Advises on improvements
  • Develops question and decision trees
  • Works closely with specialists inside and outside the organization, such as policymakers, environmental plan managers, (environmental law) lawyers, environmental plan advisors/planners, environmental permit providers, supervisors, and ICT specialists

What they ask

  • Completed HBO bachelor's degree, preferably in spatial planning, environmental law, or administrative law
  • Demonstrable municipal work experience with rule software, planning software, functional management, or setting up logical question and decision trees
  • Knowledge of the Environmental Act and the Digital Environmental System Act (DSO)
  • In possession of a valid VOG (no older than 3 months and relevant for the position) or willing to apply for one

Preferences.

  • Level of work experience within a government organization in a similar position
  • Demonstrable affinity with the physical living environment and the applicable laws and regulations such as the environmental plan
  • Affinity with the Frisian language, preferably active proficiency

  • Available at the office for at least two working days per week for coordination, collaboration, and effective execution of tasks
