The activities are carried out within the Advice & Quality section of the Systems & Analysis department of a logistics command for equipment. This command aims to supply modern, robust, safe, and high-quality equipment to all operational users of the armed forces. The Systems & Analysis department contributes to optimizing maintenance and achieving the required material availability of ground-based systems throughout their entire lifespan.
Within the Advice & Quality section, evaluation groups and the aftercare team gain up-to-date insight into the technical condition of the inspected equipment and the maintenance performed. They advise on material logistics processes at unit level for armed forces units through product and process audits. The section guides users, advises commanders, and makes improvement proposals in the field of OLM-ILM maintenance.
What you do
As an Equipment Intendance Inspector, you perform a varied and responsible set of tasks, focusing on the following key areas:
Maintenance process control.
- Controls the execution of the maintenance process through thorough inspections and audits.
- Studies and tests the requirements that the maintenance must meet.
- Accurately records observed data and findings.
- Reports structural shortcomings to the commander of the evaluation team.
Customer equipment control.
- Monitors the quality of the equipment.
- Studies and tests the requirements that the equipment must meet.
- Records and discusses observed data with the evaluation team.
- Reports structural shortcomings to the commander.
Advisory and Assistance.
- Supports and advises the evaluation team.
- Gathers relevant information and interprets its usability.
- Formulates and presents various proactive advisory proposals.
- Oversees the correct implementation of given advice and improvements.
Profile
- Accountable to the commander of the evaluation team regarding the execution and results of your activities.
- Works within the framework of current guidelines, publications, procedures, manuals, and regulations.
- Is given autonomy and scope to make decisions on the content of requested and unsolicited advice.
- Can act as a mentor for colleagues.
