As an Educational Designer and Trainer, you will collaborate with scientists, civil servants, residents, and companies on training courses and methods aimed at tackling urgent and complex metropolitan challenges. You will be part of a team of living lab coordinators, project managers, and educational developers. Together with a senior Educational Developer and Trainer, you will further develop the living lab methodology by designing new training courses, workshops, working methods, and tools.
The common thread in the team is the living lab way of working and practically contributing to research projects that a knowledge institute carries out with partners. You will work in the project team within a specific project focused on circular, biobased, lifespan extension, and replacement techniques for our infrastructure. You will contribute to an innovative approach to learning, working, and applying, specifically aimed at systemic innovations in the infrastructure sector.
The coming period will focus on developing transferable training material for the infrastructure sector, in both physical and digital form.
What you will do.
- Designing and creating relevant working methods and materials for training modules in collaboration with colleagues from the knowledge institute and project partners.
- Supporting learning and capacity building by facilitating training, workshops, and reflective evaluations.
- Expanding and making the offering on a learning platform transferable, in collaboration with an experienced colleague.
- Facilitating stakeholder engagement and co-creation, promoting ownership and a shared direction, for example in workshops.
- Bridging knowledge and practices between contractors, engineering firms, municipalities, and universities.
- Communicating transparently, documenting processes and results, and sharing insights within the team and with project partners.
- You will play a key role in promoting professional development, new ways of working, and stimulating innovation within the infrastructure sector.

Specific skills and background.
- Expert in developing and delivering training for professionals.
- Highly developed skills in creating and designing training materials, visuals, e-learnings.
- Strong in translating theoretical knowledge into practical insights and tools for professionals.
- Relevant HBO/WO education as an educationalist or another relevant qualification.
- Work experience at a training institute or learning & development organization is a plus.
