This role combines the functions of Technical Specialist and Foreman into a unique and highly challenging position within an organization that works on sustainable and innovative transport solutions. You will be the linchpin in the workshop and set the technical standard.
What you do
- You are an expert in electric vehicles and complex systems.
- You tackle all malfunctions and problems that others cannot solve, particularly concerning new builds and technically complex diagnostics on commercial vehicles.
- You independently perform the most complex repairs and maintenance work and participate in regular planning.
- You are the technical point of contact and provide daily support to colleagues.
- You manage the new build team and act as the link between the team and account managers.
- You proactively check the work performed by your colleagues to ensure high quality standards.
- You are responsible for the efficient and safe functioning of new builds and strictly follow all safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
- You coordinate new build projects, including weekly planning and daily follow-up and guidance of mechanics working on new builds.
- You are an official Master Instructor, conduct progress interviews with apprentices, guide them through repairs, and prepare them for their practical exams.
- You work closely with Academy Coaches who develop (apprentice) mechanics and career changers through practical coaching and training.
What they ask
- Completed MBO-level 4 education (equivalent to senior secondary vocational education) in a technical field, preferably Commercial Vehicle Technology.
- Minimum of 4 years of recent and relevant work experience as a commercial vehicle technician, with proven experience in complex diagnostics (especially of electric vehicles) and new build issues.
- Proven leadership and/or coaching qualities in a technical environment (experience as a Team Leader or Foreman is a significant advantage).
- A proactive, positive, and open attitude that stimulates team development.
- Strong affinity with safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
- In possession of, or willing to obtain in the short term: an APK inspector certificate and a certificate as a recognized tachograph installer.
- Driving license C/E is a significant advantage, or the willingness to obtain it.
