Service designer

A government organization is working on the merger of two municipalities to guarantee and improve services to residents and businesses. From 2026, the administrative merger will be a fact and services will be provided by the larger organization. Within a housing program, there is a project focused on future counter services. The first phase includes redesigning the service concept for counter services, which will form the basis for a newly established service campus.

What you will do.

• Provide capacity and competencies to develop an elaborated service concept for counters.
• Conduct research into the wishes of residents and employees.
• Analyze relevant data.
• Develop scenarios to arrive at a supported service concept.
• Share knowledge and experience with stakeholders within the organization.

What they ask

• At least 1 year of demonstrable work experience in the past 3 years as a service designer within a government organization.
• Completed education at a minimum of HBO bachelor level.
• Valid Waadi registration on the registered KvK number/account (for the supplier).

Wishes.

• At least 1 of the candidates has demonstrable work experience with design assignments for service concepts in the public domain where reception, waiting, and/or counter services were an important aspect.
• Demonstrable work experience with researching the wishes of residents and employees.
• The provider offers an internship for a service design student and selects a suitable student themselves.
• At least 1 of the candidates has at least 5 years of demonstrable work experience as a service designer, of which 2 years within a government organization.
