As a Maintenance Manager, you are the linchpin between technology, planning, and people. You will have ultimate responsibility for the maintenance policy of a production site, ensuring that machines and installations operate with maximum availability, safely, and cost-efficiently.
What you do
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of technicians, ensuring the right person is in the right place and fostering a strong team culture
- Establish, monitor, and continuously optimize the preventive and corrective maintenance plan, focusing on increasing machine availability and reducing unplanned downtime
- Analyze malfunctions and technical problems down to the root cause and implement structural improvements
- Manage the maintenance budget: make informed choices between repair, overhaul, or replacement, and keep an eye on the total cost of ownership
- Select, manage, and evaluate external suppliers and contractors
- Prepare and guide investment projects and installation upgrades, from technical specification to delivery
- Monitor safety, environment, and legal inspections, and keep associated documentation and procedures up-to-date
- Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and purchasing, and provide management with clear reporting via relevant KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, availability, maintenance cost)
Profile
- Technical degree (bachelor or master in electromechanics, or equivalent by experience)
- At least 5 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in an industrial or production environment
- Experience as a people manager, capable of leading and motivating maintenance teams, internal employees, and external suppliers
- Ability to quickly analyze technical challenges and translate them into concrete, structural solutions
- Fluent communication in Dutch, both verbally and in writing
- Willingness to travel within a maximum radius of one hour's drive
