Collection Officer
The Income, Care, and Education Rights department is responsible for implementing laws and regulations in the social domain. Within the Claims and Self-Employed team, various administrative tasks are performed. Some residents have mistakenly received money from the organization. As a collection officer, you help recover these funds through a customer-oriented collection process, thereby contributing to the responsible management of the organization's resources.
What you will do. As a collection officer, you ensure that incorrectly disbursed money is repaid, always considering the resident's personal situation.
- You independently make payment arrangements based on financial capacity.
- You maintain contact with residents and institutions such as UWV, employers, and banks.
- You prepare for forced collection if payment is not made, for example, by seizing wages or assets.
- You have contact with residents by phone, in writing, and during on-site meetings.
- You combine a human approach with clarity and decisiveness.
Profile
We are looking for a customer-friendly colleague who enjoys working in a team. You have a positively critical attitude and work accurately. Performing under some time pressure is not a problem for you. You are clear and customer-friendly towards both external and internal clients and your colleagues. You know how to set priorities and see the entire workload as a shared responsibility. You dare to ask for help, but also offer help and do not shy away from a tough conversation with a client.
Flexibility and collegiality are important within the team.
What they ask
- At least a completed mbo+ or hbo education in a financial or legal field.
- Some experience with complex customer contacts.
- Experience with automated administrative systems, such as GWS4all, Suwinet, Corsa, or the ability to quickly master new automation systems.
