Process Manager Youth & Family
A supra-regional youth care expertise center focuses on resolving bottlenecks for children and parents in youth care. This concerns a small group of children with complex, multiple, and rare problems for whom it is not possible to provide timely and appropriate youth care and guidance. From this expertise center, process managers are deployed at the request of Regional Expert Teams when cooperation between involved parties stagnates.
The process managers form a supportive network of experienced colleagues, bound by drive, independence, and the ability to bring calm and direction to complex situations.
What you do
- Provide independent process management, working from the best interest of the child and family, and being multi-partial in collaboration with all involved parties.
- Bring parties together: young people, parents, referrers, care providers, municipalities, and any other involved parties.
- Facilitate, when necessary, the creation of a shared analysis, common goals, and a concrete plan of action.
- Steer planning and implementation: monitor progress, hold parties accountable for their responsibilities, and remain involved until the goal is achieved.
- Apply pressure and escalate if things get stuck, by approaching management or the board to initiate movement.
- Support the case manager and strengthen their role/position, often ensuring the process leads to an integrated approach.
- Utilize the expertise, experience, and network of fellow process managers and other resources.
- Play an active role in mutual and joint intervision and identify recurring patterns and analyses.
- Evaluate during and after what went well and what could be improved, to enhance youth care.

- Remains calm when everyone else is panicking.
- Is flexible and resilient to restart the process after an unexpected shock.
- Can balance personal action and directing others.
Skills.
- Position yourself, manage expectations, and guard your role.
