Wmo Consultant
You listen beyond the request for help and arrive at Wmo decisions that are both humane and thorough. Behind every Wmo application is a person with a story. Someone who wants to continue living independently, participate, or doesn't know where to start. You conduct the conversation, investigate what is truly needed, and make a careful assessment within the frameworks of the Social Support Act (Wmo).
As a Wmo consultant, you help residents with questions about guidance, aids, home adaptations, household support, self-reliance, and participation. You do this with attention to the personal situation, but also with an eye for legality, feasibility, and municipal frameworks. You will work on assignments for public organizations.
What you will do. As a Wmo consultant, you work directly with residents who need support to continue functioning independently and participate in society. Depending on the assignment, the focus will be on broad Wmo access, guidance, aids, home adaptations, household support, re-evaluations, or complex cases.
- Conduct home visits with residents and informal caregivers
- Investigate requests for help, self-reliance
- Assess applications within the Social Support Act (Wmo)
- Determine what is generally customary, pre-existing
- Prepare and substantiate indications and decisions

- Explain decisions, even when the outcome is disappointing
- Collaborate with district teams, care providers, informal caregivers, and chain partners
- Identify broader issues, such as overburdening, loneliness, or multi-problem situations
- Contribute to careful service provision and better implementation
For experienced consultants, there are assignments with more complex cases, objection- or complaint-sensitive files, quality improvement, or coaching of less experienced colleagues. For less experienced consultants, there are assignments to grow in interview skills, indication setting, reporting, and independent caseload management.
