Traffic Engineer

Within a team that daily manages assets in public spaces, colleagues from the traffic cluster are involved in the practical and policy-related aspects of traffic, parking, and mobility. Due to colleague absences, significant backlogs have accumulated. Two advisors are sought for this assignment.

What you will do.

• Drafting and publishing traffic decisions
• Realizing (or having realized) disabled parking spaces
• Assessing and granting exemptions for parking in no-parking zones
• Assessing and implementing traffic measures
• Assessing public space reports (MOR-meldingen)
• Responding to various resident questions, reports, wishes
• Advising on traffic-related aspects in spatial developments and environmental permits
• Advising and assessing accessibility plans and diversion routes
• Advising and coordinating with the concession holder regarding charging station applications
• Administrative advising

What they ask

• Minimum 1 year of demonstrable work experience in the past 3 years as a traffic engineer within a government organization
• Demonstrable work experience with drafting and publishing traffic decisions and assessing, preparing, and realizing traffic measures, including disabled parking spaces
• Demonstrable work experience with traffic engineering advice for spatial developments, environmental permits, accessibility plans, and diversion routes
• Demonstrable work experience with handling resident questions and requests, administrative advising, and coordination with external stakeholders, including concession holders regarding charging stations and parking exemptions

Preferences.

• Minimum 2 years of demonstrable work experience as a traffic engineer within a government organization
• Demonstrable work experience in the past 3 years with handling and assessing public space reports (MOR-meldingen)
