You will join an environment where much is already present: experienced teams, data, systems, and various improvement initiatives. The challenge is to ensure these effectively land on the shop floor and deliver results.
What you do
- Closely monitor the daily transport operation and bring more structure
- Build strong relationships with drivers, planners, team leaders, and operational staff
- Relaunch and follow up on existing improvement trajectories
- Together with IT and the business, translate KPI dashboards into concrete operational steering
- Identify where the greatest efficiency and profitability losses lie
- Analyze transport performance based on, among other things, routes, costs
- Critically analyze the costs and deployment of subcontractors
- Engage teams in change and ensure clear ownership and follow-up
- Provide management with a clear picture of operational performance and key action points
Profile
We are looking for an experienced transport professional who enjoys being hands-on in operations. You preferably bring:
- A solid background in road transport
- Experience in managing drivers and operational teams
- Experience with a larger transport organization and/or complex transport environment
- Strong affinity with KPIs, profitability, and operational performance
- Experience with implementing improvement trajectories
- The ability to engage people, even when change initially evokes resistance
- A hands-on and pragmatic mindset
- Sufficient seniority to interact with both the shop floor and management level
