An educational team within a national training institution is looking for a colleague to innovatively shape investigative education.
What you do
- Provide competency-oriented education for specialists in tactical investigation.
- Provide in-depth and specialized expertise required to practice the detective profession.
- Contribute to the renewal and strengthening of investigative education.
- Compile course material and learning resources on topics such as communication skills, observation, memory, tunnel vision, deviant behavior (e.g., psychiatric disorders and acquired brain injury), and diversity.
- Guide students in their personal and professional development.
- Administer exams and assess students in their learning process.
- Contribute substantively to the (further) development and updating of education.
- Keep abreast of developments in your field and translate them into the work of a detective.
- Translate new insights in investigation into education.
- Actively seek connection with colleagues in the field and stay informed about the practical work and dilemmas in police practice, particularly in investigation.
- Maintain contacts with (other) internal and external individuals and organizations and participate in working groups.

- HBO (higher professional education) work and thinking level.
- A diploma at HBO (bachelor) level or equivalent through EVC, or demonstrably at least two years of work experience at the required level.
Preferences.
- Education in one of the social sciences (preferably psychology).
- Experience in teaching and developing education.
- Affinity with investigation and interrogation.
- Knowledge of forensic psychology.
- A Pedagogical Didactic Certificate (PDG) or willingness to obtain it.
Practical
- A reliability and environmental investigation is part of the selection procedure.
