- Further development of a central analytical data platform.
- Combines backend data engineering with the development of semantic models and reporting.
- Goal: enable users to efficiently gain insights from complex datasets.
What you do
- Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines.
- Design and implement ETL processes for processing and transforming data.
- Model and structure data within a modern data platform.
- Develop semantic models to support reporting and analysis.
- Build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Integrate data from various sources via APIs and other data systems.
- Monitor data quality, data governance, and security guidelines.
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders within an Agile environment.
- Contribute to the further architecture and evolution of the data and reporting platform.
What they ask
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with developing and maintaining data pipelines.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, and/or Scala for data streams and ETL processes.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with developing Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Excellent knowledge of Dutch (CEFR C2).
- Basic knowledge of Agile work methodologies.
- Experience with ETL processes and databases.
- Experience with dbt or analytics-engineering concepts.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Git and versioning workflows.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Data solutions.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with REST APIs.
- Knowledge of data quality, data governance, and security principles.
Preferences.
- Experience with Microsoft Purview or other data catalogs.
- Experience with multi-tenant or domain-driven data platforms.
- Experience within a government environment.
- Knowledge of infrastructure, patrimony, or asset data.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and data warehouse modeling, including star schemas, dimensions, and data architectures.
