Asset Manager Roads and Public Lighting

As an Asset Manager for Roads and Public Lighting, you are responsible for the strategic and tactical management of all municipal road surfaces and related assets within a government organization.

  • You are the linchpin in road management, translating policy objectives into actionable management and maintenance programs.
  • Based on asset management principles, you develop management plans, multi-year maintenance schedules, and investment programs, balancing performance, risks, costs, and sustainability.
  • Additionally, you advise the board, management, and colleagues, act as a client for replacement projects, and collaborate closely with residents, utility companies, and other external partners to ensure a future-proof road network.

  • Translate policy objectives into actionable management and maintenance programs.

  • Collaborate closely with residents, utility companies, and other external partners for a future-proof road network.

What they ask

  • Completed HBO or university degree, for example in Civil Engineering, Built Environment, Asset Management, or a comparable field.
  • Experience with the management of roads or other infrastructural assets.
  • Knowledge of asset management (preferably compliant with ISO 55000), road management, and relevant laws and regulations.

Preferences.

  • Experience with management systems such as Geovisia or comparable software.
  • Experience with asset management within a municipality.
