ANIOS Addiction Medicine

As a basic doctor, you will work with a target group that often risks falling through the cracks. This role within outreach addiction care offers a unique challenge, combining psychiatry, somatic issues, and social problems. You will guide clients with complex addiction problems, often combined with psychiatric disorders and social challenges. You will work from a recovery-oriented vision, where the person behind the problem is central.

Together with the treatment team, you will contribute to recovery, stability, and a better quality of life.

What you will do.

• You will be part of a multidisciplinary outreach team that supports clients in various areas of their lives.
• Care is provided as much as possible in the client's own living environment, giving you a complete picture of the factors influencing health and recovery.
• You will perform medical examinations, make diagnoses, and carry out treatments in the field of addiction care and psychiatry.
• You will work under the supervision of an addiction physician or psychiatrist and have intensive contact with specialized nurses, nurses, and outpatient social workers.
• The combination of medical, psychiatric, and social issues makes this role intellectually challenging, versatile, and particularly educational for doctors who wish to further develop within mental health care, addiction care, or psychiatry.
• After an extensive induction period, you will participate in on-call services outside office hours and on weekends, averaging four shifts per month.
