Doctor

A healthcare organization is looking for a (basic) doctor for a location in The Hague. You will have the opportunity to spend more time with patients and their personal stories, work within regular office hours, and play an important role in society.

What you will do.

• Act as the link between bariatric surgeons in hospitals and patients in the consultation room.
• Work closely with surgeons and internists from collaborating hospitals.
• Serve as a medical advisor for clients.
• Collaborate with care coordinators, therapists, and coaches to guide patients and clients towards a healthy weight.
• Responsible for the medical supervision and check-ups of patients with morbid obesity within a multidisciplinary team (exercise specialist, psychologist, dietitian, coaches, internist, and surgeon).
• Provide diagnostics during screening and give individual and group sessions during weight reduction and stabilization trajectories.
• Be the point of contact for medical questions from patients before and after operations via the medical phone.
• Perform medical triage for post-operative complaints.
• Build long-term relationships with patients and closely follow their journey of change.
• Guide clients, together with a care coordinator and a coach, towards a healthy and responsible weight within a specific division.
• Conduct intake interviews to discuss treatment options and advise clients.
• Responsible for medical supervision and check-ups of clients undergoing medication-based treatments.
• Prescribe medication, request and interpret results and findings.
• Serve as a go-to person/expert for colleagues and patients/clients with specific medical matters.

• Completed medical degree (basic doctor/Anios/medical assistant).
• BIG registered (Dutch professional register).
