A Belgian (family-owned) manufacturer of concrete products is looking for an interim COO. The group production director retires at the end of this year. A new plant manager joins in October. This is not a caretaker role; it focuses on stabilizing three sites, strengthening the plant leadership team, and driving an ambitious automation agenda.
What you do
- Manage three plants
- Coach four leaders
- Modernize an outdated machine park
- Oversee four direct reports: three plant managers and the head of projects & maintenance
- Coaching is at the heart of the assignment
- Play an active role in capital investment decisions
What they ask
- Experience running multi-site industrial operations
- Ability to build an investment case that survives scrutiny
- Get energy from making other leaders better
- Experience in concrete or heavy building materials is a plus
