A public healthcare organization is looking for a corporate lawyer specializing in employment law and employee participation. You will be a sparring partner who, with extensive knowledge and experience, provides clear advice for organizational development. You will work with HR and the Legal Affairs team to make the organization more agile, modern, and customer-focused.
What you will do.
- As an employment lawyer, you are a specialist who can navigate within a complex organization and be deployed on various issues.
- Your focus is primarily on providing advice in the field of employment law and employee participation.
- You will deal with individual cases, collective issues, and contribute to policy development.
- You play an active role in employment conditions policy, critically reviewing and independently (re)writing employment conditions regulations based on input from HR.
- You advise the board, management, and employees on various issues within the organization.
- You support and advise on employee participation, including preparing advice and consent requests based on the WOR (Works Councils Act).
- You coordinate the Local Consultation based on the SGO collective labor agreement and act as a link between employee participation bodies and the organization.
- You proactively identify developments in relevant legislation and regulations, (upcoming) collective labor agreement negotiations, and collective labor agreement changes. You analyze and interpret these and translate them into concrete steps for the organization.
- You work in close cooperation with the HR department to achieve the objectives set in annual and multi-year plans.
What they ask
- A completed degree in Dutch Law.
- A completed Grotius Employment Law or PALA program.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a comparable position.
- Work experience in advocacy is a plus; the role of in-house counsel is negotiable.
- Excellent oral and written, social, and communication skills.
About the team. You will be an organizational part of the legal affairs team within the group staff, consisting of three fellow lawyers. In practice, you will work closely with the HR manager, HR Business Partners, and experts from the HR team. The atmosphere is informal and open, with attention to a good work-life balance.
