Data Steward
You will support data management activities across various research studies and help ensure that research data is well-structured, reliable, and FAIR. You will work closely with researchers and contribute to the collection, curation, and standardization of diverse data types. The assignment is within a specialized research institute focused on translational cancer research, with an emphasis on the discovery, validation, and implementation of biomarkers for early detection, prognosis, and response to therapy.
This involves omics-based tumor profiling, using DNA-, RNA-, and proteomics-based techniques, to stratify patient groups and arrive at individually tailored therapies. The organization is also involved with a national infrastructure for personalized medicine and health research and supports a national data-integration platform, aiming to make translational research data FAIR.
What you do
- Be involved with FAIR data management activities
- Aid researchers with the collection, checking, curating, and structuring of different data types
- Contribute to standardizing and automating data flows for multiple studies
What they ask
- A BSc or MSc in a biomedical science related field
- Experience with data management, including validation checks and generating summary statistics
- Experience with Electronic Data Capturing systems
- Programming skills (bash/R/python)
- Experience with creating (and using) databases (Mongo/SQL)
- Design and implementation of sustainable, standardized data workflows between different systems

- Experience with clinical trials or translational research studies
- Previous data management experience in a hospital setting
- Experience with digital pathology/radiology systems and respective data models
- Experience with biobank systems and data models
- Knowledge of FAIR principles and metadata standards
