Youth Residential Supervisor
You will guide young people aged 13 to 18 in their personal development, independence, and undertaking of activities. From the age of 18, these young people must be able to live independently in a reception center, their country of origin, or their own home. There is a lot of freedom for (group) activities such as cooking and sports.
What you will do.
- Guide young people in their personal development and independence.
- Organize (group) activities such as cooking and sports.
- Act as a "shadow mentor" in complex cases and conduct methodical conversations.
- Perform daily tasks such as room checks, registering new residents, conducting intake interviews, and providing information.
What they ask
- Minimum of a completed Mbo-level 4 education in an agogic field (e.g., Social Work, SPW, Personal supervisor social care, Supervisor specific target groups, or Pedagogical employee).
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of methodical guidance and intercultural communication.
- Empathetic, professional, and able to set boundaries.
- Able to activate young people without taking too much initiative, allowing them to develop themselves.
- Be resilient.
- Flexible and available for day, evening, night, and weekend shifts (night shifts are always wake-up shifts). This is a strict requirement.
Profile
You will work at a reception center for unaccompanied minor foreign nationals. A team consists of 15 to 40 employees, including youth workers, residential supervisors, and behavioral experts.
Practical
- Salary: between € 3,392.30 and € 4,616.05 gross per month based on 36 hours, including irregular hours allowance and annual salary growth.
- Secondary benefits: travel allowance, individual choice budget (18% of annual salary), pension scheme, career budget, vitality hours.
- Holiday leave: 144 hours for full-time employment, with the option to purchase 26 additional hours of leave.
- Development: career budget of 1.5% of monthly salary for training/education.
- Pre-employment screening: Certificate of Conduct (VOG) application, diploma and certificate check, identity check.
