For a major Belgian organization undergoing a large-scale digital transformation, a Project Manager is sought to lead strategic initiatives within the digital payments domain. The mission focuses on the modernization of the payment ecosystem, including acquiring services, Payment Service Providers (PSP), payment compliance, and the evolution of customer-facing digital sales channels.
What you do
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of strategic payment-related projects.
- Analyze the current payment landscape, contracts, and operating model.
- Gather and challenge business, technical, financial, and regulatory requirements.
- Define the target strategy for acquiring and PSP services.
- Prepare business cases, decision documents, and tender documentation.
- Coordinate with Finance, Legal, Security, Architecture, Procurement, and Business stakeholders.
- Manage the impact analysis on existing sales and payment systems.
- Drive the definition of future payment architectures and payment flows.
- Coordinate transition activities between current and future payment providers.
- Manage project planning, budget, risks, dependencies, and governance.
- Oversee integration, testing, deployment, and go-live activities.
- Lead steering committees and provide regular reporting to senior management.
- Drive PCI-DSS compliance initiatives and establish a sustainable certification approach.
Profile
- Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in complex project management environments.
- At least 3 years of experience in electronic payments, including Acquiring, PSP, and payment ecosystems.
- Strong experience managing large-scale digital transformation projects.
- Proven experience coordinating multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience delivering projects in environments with strict regulatory and security requirements.
- Demonstrated experience with supplier and vendor management.
