You will have the opportunity to work as a Participation Policy Advisor on assignments for municipalities and public organizations. You will be employed or work based on a project contract. From this basis, you will be deployed on secondment or interim assignments that match your experience, ambition, and development direction.

What you will do. As a Participation Policy Advisor, you will work on current issues within the social domain. Depending on your experience and the assignment, you will be involved in policy development, implementation, regional cooperation, projects, or change processes within participation and work & income. You will translate national developments, legislation, and societal challenges into concrete municipal policy.
In doing so, you will not only look at what is legally or politically correct, but also at what works for residents, consultants, employers, and cooperation partners. Your tasks will include:
- Developing, updating, and implementing policy within participation and work & income
- Translating societal challenges into concrete policy proposals
- Identifying developments in laws and regulations, such as the Participation Act
- Advising or supporting management, board, and executive teams
- Connecting policy, implementation, and cooperation partners
- Participating in implementation and improvement projects
- Working on projects and programs within the social domain
- Making the consequences for residents, implementation, and organization transparent
- Reducing complex issues to clear choices and actions
Profile
You want to create policy that is not detached from practice. You understand that participation policy must be legally sound, administratively explainable, and feasible for the people who work with it. You are socially engaged, analytical, and curious about the connection between policy, implementation, and residents. You can collaborate well with various parties and want to further develop yourself within the public domain. You bring:
- HBO or university level of work and thinking
- Experience or strong affinity with participation, work & income, reintegration, existential security, or the social domain
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, or the motivation to delve deeper into this
- Experience within a municipality, regional social service, public organization, or social organization is a must
- Good communication and advisory skills
- Analytical ability and the ability to distinguish main and secondary issues
- Political-administrative sensitivity, or the ambition to develop this further
- Interest in change assignments, project-based work, and policy implementation
