Environmental Law Supervisor

As an Environmental Law Supervisor, you are responsible for carrying out supervision and enforcement tasks within the physical domain. You supervise construction activities, usage activities, and compliance with regulations from the Environmental Law and the environmental plan. You handle reports, complaints, enforcement requests, and signals of possible violations.

You conduct on-site inspections, meticulously record findings, and draw up clear reports and observation reports that can serve as a basis for potential enforcement processes. You are the face of the organization in the field and maintain contact with residents, entrepreneurs, contractors, chain partners, and other stakeholders. You know how to carefully weigh different interests and are able to act both in an advisory and enforcing capacity.

You combine a customer-oriented attitude with a clear and consistent approach.

What you will do.

Profile

We are looking for a supervisor who is firm, communicatively skilled, and possesses a good sense of administrative and social relations. You are independent, meticulous, and know how to effectively switch between advising, mediating, and enforcing. For optimal collaboration, physical presence at set times is required.

  • Demonstrably completed MBO level 4 education in Construction Engineering, Supervision & Enforcement, or a comparable technical education
  • Minimum of 1 year demonstrable work experience as a construction supervisor, physical environment supervisor, building inspector, or similar function within a municipal organization
  • Valid B driving license

Wishes.

  • Demonstrably completed ABW1 training
  • Minimum of 3 years demonstrable work experience as a construction supervisor, building inspector, or physical environment supervisor within a municipal organization
  • Demonstrable work experience with independently handling complaints, reports, and enforcement requests
  • Demonstrable work experience with drawing up observation reports, inspection reports, and/or enforcement files
