Project Manager
This assignment focuses on Global Health, aiming to direct resources where they are most needed. You will partner with international organizations, local governments, and donors to strengthen data systems and support smarter health investments. The projects involve coordinating the implementation of medium to large projects with multiple partners and technical teams, from tender to delivery, to provide high-quality solutions in diverse and demanding environments.
The focus is on strengthening countrywide health information systems or deploying digital health tools.
What you do
Project management.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients and partners: identify their needs, shape the solution and vision, and define short- and medium-term roadmaps in coordination with partners and technical leads.
- Monitor the project from design to completion, including delivery of the final solution and capacity building.
- Oversee project implementation and ensure it achieves its objectives, while managing budgets, donor reporting, and contractual obligations.
- Navigate complex institutional and governance environments, engaging effectively with ministries, donors, and multiple stakeholders.
- Ensure the quality of deliverables and reports in collaboration with technical leads.
- Use and update project management tools (JIRA and Odoo).
Technical interface.
- Develop a strong understanding of the portfolio of technical solutions, including their architecture, capabilities, and limitations, and use it to guide design choices.
- Participate in continuous analysis of clients’ needs and advise on solutions to be implemented.
- Coordinate with the technical team throughout the project to ensure deliverables meet requirements.
- Take part in functional testing and validation (e.g., UAT, checking configuration against specifications) to ensure quality before delivery.
- Continuously assess progress to ensure alignment between the client’s needs and the technical solutions being implemented, and reorient if necessary.
- Work hands-on with the tools used in the projects (Dhis2, Iaso, OpenHexa, BI Tools - Tableau, PowerBI, Superset).
Additional responsibilities.
- Participate in proposal development and the identification of new business opportunities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and development of internal tools and methodologies.
- Identify and implement strategies that ensure the long-term growth and sustainability of projects.
- Adapt and take on other relevant project management responsibilities as the role evolves.
What they ask Required.
- At least 8-10 years of relevant professional experience.
- Professional experience in large International Development or Global Health projects.
- Experience managing medium to large projects in a multicultural environment.
- Experience with client contact and multi-stakeholder cooperation.
- Experience with design and implementation of digital tools projects.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English (C1 level minimum required).
Preferred.
- Experience in projects involving complex data analysis.
- Knowledge of programming and software development processes.
- Experience in capacity strengthening.
- Experience with collaboration in remote working settings.
- Experience in team coordination.
- Experience in managing a budget / P&L.
