Facilities Advisor

A government organization is temporarily seeking a Facilities Advisor to provide support during the recruitment of a permanent colleague. The advisor will take on ongoing facilities projects, contracts, and dossiers. The role involves the substantive preparation and guidance of facilities tenders and implementations. The facilities advisor is responsible for the professional preparation, drafting of substantive requirements, and implementation, with the Procurement department guiding the tendering process.

What you will do.

• Set up and guide facilities projects, including the implementation of new suppliers and the furnishing of organizational locations
• Advise on housing, workplace design, furniture, and other facilities provisions
• Provide input for contract and supplier management, including cleaning, landscaping
• Maintain daily contact with suppliers
• Monitor the quality of services
• Identify bottlenecks
• Provide substantive input to the contract manager and escalate where necessary
• Coordinate maintenance and repair work
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers
• Substantively prepare and guide facilities tenders and implementations
• Handle and coordinate facilities reports via a facilities management system
• Manage the facilities mailbox

What they ask

• Minimum 1 year of demonstrable work experience as a Facilities Advisor, Manager
• Demonstrable work experience with contract and supplier management within the facilities field
• Demonstrable work experience with coordinating facilities projects
