A relationship therapist is sought for locations in the Netherlands, for two days a week. Although you work independently, you are part of a close-knit team. Cases are discussed, advice is sought, and there are opportunities to learn from each other and connect. Importance is placed on a colleague who is comfortable in their own skin, brings warmth and enthusiasm, and genuinely enjoys collaborating with colleagues.
What you do
- Guide couples who want to improve their relationship.
- Help couples to communicate again, understand each other better, and reconnect, often in situations with children living at home.
- Work with a specific method that alternates between discussions, experiential exercises, and homework assignments. Training in this method will be provided.
- Conduct introductory interviews to assess a couple's needs, clearly explain the working method, and provide honest advice on a suitable follow-up.
- Convincingly explain why a therapeutic process can be valuable, without making unrealistic promises.

- Radiates warmth and enthusiasm.
- Enjoys collaborating, sharing knowledge, and is open to feedback.
- Feels responsible for their own work and clients, and indicates in a timely manner when consultation is needed.
- Can empathize with couples and dares to name what is happening between them.
- Enjoys learning and wants to work experientially.
- Has humor and can firmly confront when helpful.
- Gives couples confidence in the process, even when the outcome is uncertain.
- Completed university degree (requirement).
- Full training in relationship coaching, EFT, and/or systemic work.
