Guiding young people (13 to 18 years old) who have experienced a lot.
- Providing structure and regularity.
- 24/7 guidance to promote independent living in a reception center, country of origin, or their own home in the Netherlands.
- Conducting regular mentoring conversations with the young people.
- Maintaining contact with external organizations and aid workers, such as the guardian, school, and general practitioner.
- Ensuring a safe and livable residential environment.
- Being a visible point of contact for the young people.
- Working closely within the team.
- Participating in regular meetings and intervision discussions to ensure quality.
Profile
- Being resilient and grounded.
- Being empathetic, without losing professional distance.
- Being clear in setting boundaries.
- Being available for day, evening, night, and weekend shifts (night shifts are waking shifts).
- Always working with at least one other colleague.
What they ask
- Relevant HBO or WO diploma: Social Work, MWD, SPH, CMV, Teacher Training, Pedagogy, Psychology, or another diploma within Social Sciences.
- SKJ registered or having the possibility to obtain SKJ registration within two years.
Preferences.
- Work experience in youth care, mental health care, within a care institution, and/or welfare work.
- A relevant MBO diploma combined with an SKJ registration is also welcome.
Practical aspects.
- Working at one of the reception locations.
- Teams consist of 15 to 40 employees, including youth workers, residential counselors, and behavioral experts.
- A pre-employment screening is part of the procedure, consisting of a VOG application, diploma and certificate verification, and identity check.
