Within the library of a public educational institution, we are responsible for systems for sharing and preserving collections and systems for research support. In the Digital Infrastructure department, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated software engineer. You will be involved in renewing various components of the library's infrastructure. We are working on renewing applications and clearing a server. Our focus is primarily on improving workflows for digital collections.
You will contribute to this transition in collaboration with other engineers and content specialists.
What you will do.
- Redesign and development of digitization workflows
- Redesign and refactoring of applications to our cloud infrastructure
- Collaboration and testing with key users and content specialists
- Documentation of your design and development work for engineers and users
- Communication about the content and progress of your work
Profile

What they ask
- Minimum 3 years of experience developing in Python and Django
- Experience with Gitlab CI and Docker
- Experience with Azure cloud and Terraform
- Experience with PostgreSQL, HTML, CSS, Javascript
- Ability to document meticulously
- Fluent in Dutch
Preferences.
- Experience migrating legacy applications (Perl, shell scripts) to container apps in Azure
- Experience with MFA protocols
- Experience working in higher education or a heritage organization
