Personal Counselor
You guide and motivate young people and young mothers facing complex challenges. You use your life experience and coaching qualities to help them regain control over their lives and work towards an independent future.
What you will do. As a personal counselor within a specific program, you support young people and young mothers with children who are struggling in many areas of their lives. This may include:
- Building a social network
- Motherhood and parenting
- Housing
- Promoting their mental health
You build a personal relationship with the participants and play an active role in their well-being. Your tasks also include:
- Developing, monitoring, and implementing care pathways
- Stimulating and coaching participants in self-reliance, participation, and meaningful daily activities and leisure
- Providing structure and a safe and trusted living environment
- Active participation in team meetings and case studies, to specifically determine what each individual participant needs
- Maintaining good contact with external partners
You will work in a small, motivated team of professionals from various disciplines, collaborating closely with a behavioral scientist and a case manager to coordinate care and guidance.
Profile
- A completed HBO (higher professional education) degree in social work or a related field
- Availability on Tuesdays, Wednesdays
- Passion for young people and young mothers and the desire to help them achieve the most independent life possible
- A Christian background (Catholic, Protestant, etc.) and the ability to explain what that means to you
