Chief Site Manager Renovation

Lead and guide the execution of renovation projects for civil objects in wet infrastructure, such as locks and bridges.

  • Manage daily work, oversee and prepare the broader scope, and lead the development and implementation of planning, phasing, and work methods within the project team.
  • Look beyond tomorrow: how to execute the project, what is needed for the coming years, and how to respond to technical and personnel challenges?
  • Be the link between various disciplines: Civil, Mechanical Engineering (WTB), Electrical Engineering (E), and Industrial Automation (IA).
  • Collaborate closely with clients and construction partners.

What you do

  • Lead the entire execution process of infrastructural projects and manage multiple teams, site managers, and subcontractors with a sharp focus on safety, planning, budget, and quality.
  • Bear ultimate responsibility for safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) on the construction site and actively promote a safe and diligent working environment.
  • Ensure clear coordination and communication with project management, work preparation, stakeholders, and other parties, and act as the primary contact at the execution level.
  • Monitor progress and costs, establish detailed schedules, identify bottlenecks, and adjust in time to manage risks and achieve project objectives.
  • Stimulate innovation and process improvement, including the use of sustainable techniques to extend the lifespan of structures and the optimization of work methods, digitalization, and emission-free equipment.

What they ask

  • An HBO diploma (higher professional education) in civil engineering, infrastructure, or GWW (Ground, Road, and Waterworks).
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience within infrastructure, with a background in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or similar, including several years of experience as a (chief) site manager.
  • Knowledge of contract forms such as RAW, UAV(-GC), and construction teams.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate teams and effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience with multidisciplinary work in renovation projects in wet infrastructure, where disciplines such as E/IA, WTB, and civil engineering come together.
  • The motivation to actively contribute to the development of colleagues and the team around you.
