A general contractor with a strong reputation in the sector and a well-filled order book is looking for an additional Project Manager. The company has been stable for years and is looking for someone who can independently manage their construction sites, from initial preparation to key handover. Projects include apartment buildings and utility projects that are technically and organizationally demanding.
What you do
- You will be assigned your own projects and execute them completely, from site preparation to delivery.
- Planning: you set up the site planning, monitor milestones, and adjust when reality deviates.
- Budget and profitability: you monitor costs per project and ensure the margin is maintained until the final invoice.
- Execution and quality: you coordinate the executing parties and ensure that what is built matches what was drawn.
- Safety: you ensure a safe construction site, without exceptions.
- Communication: you are the point of contact for all stakeholders around your project and keep everyone on the same page.
Profile
- A bachelor's or master's degree in a construction-related field, or an equivalent level gained through experience.
- Experience in leading projects as a Project Manager for a general contractor, with the ability to independently organize and monitor a construction site.
- Technical and construction insight to read plans and identify problems on site before they incur costs.
- Strong organizational skills: you clearly direct various parties and maintain an overview.
- You combine technical knowledge with commercial awareness; planning, budget, and profitability are a single entity for you.
- You take responsibility, communicate smoothly, and function best with a high degree of autonomy.
Practical
- For candidates with relevant and proven experience, collaboration under a self-employed status is negotiable.
