As an Assistant Store Manager at a supermarket organization, you ensure a pleasant shopping experience every day. You oversee that processes are executed correctly, colleagues are satisfied, and the store meets customer wishes. You create a safe environment and are given space to develop the store commercially. The result is a commercial and clean store with an engaged team.
What you will do.
- You are responsible for one of two specializations: Process & Goods Processing or Customer & Commerce.
- For Process & Goods Processing, you lead the department and ensure well-organized processes, a stocked, and clean store.
- For Customer & Commerce, you focus on the commercial plan and customer wishes, and you lead colleagues in the fresh produce and checkout departments.
- You work with your team to achieve goals and celebrate successes together.
- You are a decisive, results-oriented, people-focused, and inspiring leader.
- You encourage colleagues and give them the freedom to think about their department and the store.
Profile
- You develop team members and foster collaboration, which creates a pleasant working atmosphere.
- You ensure that the branch achieves its set goals (revenue, shrinkage, customer, and employee satisfaction).
- You empower colleagues and utilize their talents, for example, by involving a colleague who is active on TikTok in the store's social media.
- You are an entrepreneur who sees opportunities and acts on them, such as adding local products or contributing to neighborhood initiatives.
- You also operationally support the team to identify needs.
- You ensure optimal staffing in the team, including development discussions and recruitment of new colleagues.
- You have a higher professional education (HBO) diploma. If you have an MBO 4 or HAVO diploma, an assessment may be part of the procedure.
- You are a reliable and inspiring leader who, through empathy and commitment, ensures everyone feels at home.
- You are customer-oriented, decisive, and authentic, and you effectively translate your vision into concrete steps with your team.
- You have experience in leading large groups of colleagues.
