An educational institution is immediately looking for an inspiring and enthusiastic teacher for the kangaroo class. You will make a difference one day a week for (highly) gifted students who need extra cognitive challenge and specific guidance. In the Kangaroo Class, students are given the space to discover their talents, utilize their potential, and grow in their personal development.
What you will do.
- Guide students in their personal development goals.
- Ensure that what a student learns and develops is also visible at their home school and at home.
- Be an important connecting link between the student, parents, and the home school.
Profile
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled teacher who:
- Holds a PABO diploma.
- Has a specialization in (highly) giftedness, for example through a post-HBO course or comparable specialized training.
- Has knowledge of the educational and support needs of (highly) gifted students.
- Is strong in systematic planning and translating educational needs into an appropriate approach.
- Can collaborate well and connect with students, parents, group teachers, and internal supervisors/KC'ers.
- Knows how to stimulate, challenge, and guide students in their personal development.
- Can work independently, but also enjoys being part of a committed team.
